General Manager Application

Position: General Manager

Full-time, hourly, subject to overtime

Annual base compensation is $40,000-52,000

To be successful in this role:

You’ll need management skills and experience in both the front and back of the house. We want you to know how to oversee the dining room, check in with Guests, and balance seating capacity. 

Back-of-the-house management experience is also essential, as you’ll hire qualified Team Members, set work schedules, oversee food prep, and ensure we comply with health and safety restaurant regulations.

We expect you to lead by example and uplift our Team Members during busy moments and slow shifts. Ultimately, you will ensure our establishment runs smoothly, and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Must have proven customer service experience as a manager

  • Must be able to have an extensive knowledge of seasonal menus and pairings

  • Must be approachable, welcoming, and implement customer service skills

  • Must display inventory and finance management skills

  • 3-5 References

  • No felonies

Daily Tasks:

Outside of business open hours:

  • Planning and executing weekly/monthly events or specials

    • Events and specials should be planned 1-2 weeks ahead of time

  • Keeping track of host and Shift Manager hours

  • Reporting to Payroll

  • Schedule and lead regular Team Member meetings to discuss pairings, menu changes, and any other announcements

  • Coordinating daily restaurant management operations

  • Regularly checking and updating inventory

    • Anything below the stock threshold is ordered in a timely manner

    • Timelines for receiving subscription items changed to match the demand

During Business Hours:

  • Motivate Team Members to provide excellent customer service

  • Overseeing food Prep and FIFODelivering superior food and beverage service and maximizing customer satisfaction

  • Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints

  • Checking-ins at every table at least once during their visit

  • Cultivating extensive menu knowledge with the ability to remember and recall menu items and drink pairings to inform customers and Team Members

  • Making and delivering mixed drinks and liquor

  • Assisting Team Members as needed

  • Switching kegs as needed

  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment
